konstanz and bodensee
|
|
a one day trip around the town konstanz and bodensee. bodensee is actually a lake at the boader of germany and swiss. the scenery there is breath-taking, even in winter. and i heard in summer it's even better. i plan to visit this place again this summer... 
the two swans u see in the pics, dun be fool by their innocent looks!! they chased and pinched me right after i took pic with them!! such ungrateful animals!!

Farewell at CDC
|
|
the day we bid farewell with our dear friends and lecturers at CDC- the place we spent 3 weeks for the preparation programme, learning german culture etc...
there were food, drinks, music, dance, leng chai's and leng lui's.....so, i was too occupied to feel sad....

mercedes-benz museum

we were in stuttgart for a one day trip and visited the mercedes benz museum there. whooosh....how i wish i own this museum!! though i am not exactly a car freak, but just seeing at the cars inside makes me want to be a millionare and buy myself a mercedes... 
apart from that, stuttgart is just like kl,nothing really special about this town.i think i still prefer penang...

Trip to Karlsruhe

this is the state which my uni is located...
this will be my home for the next 5 years.... 
the city is big, and is absolutely a shopping paradise...( dieeeee laaaa....i swear i will never bring any money with me when i go out,i promisee....  )
i saw my Uni too.hmm...i din exactly fall in love with it at first sight.to be honest, it did't appeal to me in any way...hope there will be some hidden beauty behind those cold walls and some undiscovered treasures burried somewhere under the ground..ha...

Fastnacht in Singen
|

fastnacht is a traditional festive celebration in germany.people wear funny costumes and play funny music and parade on the street...and drink beer till dead drunk!! 
oh ya, they simply LOVE it when foreigners want to take picture with them... the minute i took out my cam, a whole bunch of them are already crowding around me and posing....wheewsh....i felt like a super star being surrounded by fans....

Chinese New Year!!

again an unforgettable night....we ate steamboat ( with rice cooker!  ) and "yu sang" and tom yam and cakes, agar-agar and everything...  everything was perfect..we even had new year songs playing in the air.
a lot of foreigners were our guest....we forced them to use chop sticks, or else they can just stare at the yummies on the table and starve....!!

First time snow!!

the date was 15/1/2004, the time was 12:02am....the first time i saw snow in my whole life....
the scenery was mesmerizing....i was so excited that i didn't feel the coldness, wearing only a t-shirt..
